Gene Wagner
Gene Wagner began his painting career right out of high school at the age of 18. He moved to Long Island, New York from Butte, Montana and became a painting apprentice. He values his years in New York as he was taught to do things right by the “old school painters”. Having worked for several companies in Butte and Bozeman, in 2014 Gene decided to go out on his own. Gene’s first company, Wagner Painting and Finishing LLC was a success, employing 16 painters at its peak. In 2017, Gene teamed up with Shaun Lambert, who’s previous company was Gallatin Painting and Finishing, and became the co-owner of Wagner and Lambert Painting LLC. Having 24 years of experience in the painting industry, there isn’t much Gene doesn’t know about his trade. Gene is a father to four beautiful children, two boys and two girls, and is happily married to his bride Kamerin Wagner.
Shaun Lambert
Shaun Lambert is a 27-year veteran painter and is well versed in most all areas of the painting trade. Proud father of two little girls and one little boy, Shaun has been married to his wife Kristen, for eight years and, like Gene Wagner, is a strong family-oriented person. He started in the business when he was just a teenager and excelled in the field. Shaun earned his first lead Foreman position after just two years of being an apprentice painter in the DC5 Local 10 Painters union in Portland, Oregon. Shaun earned his Journeyman status and stayed with the Painters Union for 13 years, running a 15-man crew, and trained many painters along the way. On his tenth year with the Painters Union, Shaun earned his Master Painter Certificate from both the Master Painters Institute and from the DC5 Painters Union. He has great knowledge of products in the paint industry and has completed many projects in his career including residential, commercial, industrial, and faux painting. Shaun has exceptional attention to detail and has a great way of speaking with customers that shows in every project he has completed. Shaun started his own company, Gallatin Painting & Finishing, in the spring of 2004 and had great success. He kept the company busy and had great reviews right up until the recession in 2007 when business slowed. Despite the recession, Shaun managed to keep the business going with a small crew and weather the storm. In the fall of 2017, Shaun partnered with Gene Wagner who also had his own small painting company. The two combined their companies and started Wagner & Lambert Painting LLC with the goal of becoming the premier painting company in and around the Bozeman and Big Sky areas. The new company took off and became a successful company after just one year, employing over 25 employees. Today, the company has over 30 employees and offers health and retirement benefits. The relationships with the customers, including homeowners and contractors, has been exceptional and there are no signs of slowing down. The company provides an exceptional finished product and has great customer care in mind– always.
